commercial office cleaning

Not only does a shiny, clean office reflect positively on your business, it improves employee health and morale.  This, however, requires going beyond the usual "trash, vacuuming and restroom" service most contractors provide.

Your reception area, in particular, should be an inviting point of entry for customers.  Walls should be free of scuffs.  Entry glass should be free of streaks and smears, and metal fixtures should be polished.  Furniture should be dust-free and arranged in an orderly manner.

In the office, unoccupied areas of desks should be dusted/wiped down, HVAC vents and blinds should be clean, partitions should be dusted frequently, and any glass/plexiglass should be cleaned on a regular basis.

Because clean carpet significantly improves indoor air quality, carpets should be vacuumed thoroughly (including edges) with an upright vacuum.  Backpack vacuums have become the preference among contractors, but (with rare exceptions) these vacuums lack the beater brush necessary to "dig down" into carpets to loosen and remove dirt.

Breakrooms require special attention.  They should be sanitized frequently.  Tables, countertops, and appliances should be wiped down to a streak-free shine.  Sinks should be cleaned and polished.  The inside of the microwave should be cleaned at least once a week.  Trash cans should be wiped down and should always contain new, clean liners.

Clean, well-stocked restrooms are the hallmark of any cleaning professional.  This goes far beyond cleaning mirrors, sinks, toilets, and floors.  All vents and horizontal surfaces should be dusted weekly.  Metal trash cans, kick plates, and dispensers should be polished.  The area behind the faucet should be as clean as the space in front of it.  Walls, partitions, and doors should be wiped down frequently.  The "underside" of the toilet bowl/urinal, as well as its base, should be cleaned daily.  Door handles and light switches should also be cleaned daily.  And, after the above tasks are complete, the room should be electrostatically disinfected and vacated.  Traditional methods of disinfection inevitably lead to cross-contamination (who wants to touch the door handle that the cleaner touched AFTER cleaning a toilet?!).

If your current janitorial service has fallen short of completing the above tasks, give us a call.  Of course, everyone has their own definition of "clean."  Tell us your specific areas of concern and we'll make it happen.

Unlike most janitorial contractors, we don't price jobs based on square footage.  This method tends to result either in overcharging the customer or placing unrealistic time constraints on the employee cleaning your office (inevitably resulting in reduced quality).

NWJ bids jobs via a free (no obligation) clean!  You will be provided with a bid within 24 hours of your free clean.  Your bid will be calculated at 80% of the time it took to clean your office (cleaning always takes longer the first time around).  Pricing is based on frequency of cleaning (please see below).

  • Daily: $38/hr

  • Weekly/bi-weekly: $42/hr

  • Monthly: $44/hr

* As an example, if your free clean takes us two hours, and you elect to have your office cleaned daily, your cost per clean would be $60.80.  This means that NWJ will spend a minimum of two hours (never less) cleaning your office each day!

Office Cleaning Checklists

These checklists provide an example of what you can expect from daily service with NWJ.  Feel free to use or modify them to track your current cleaning company's performance.
All NWJ employees are subject to a complete background check (available upon request).
